North Mountain Sunset Pork in a Flash |
Ingredients: For Two -
Half a packaged pork tenderloin
1/4 cup Mountain Sunset Apple Wine
1 medium sweet onion (Vidalia if possible)
2 Tbl crushed garlic
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped red and green peppers
1/2 small can water chestnuts
1-2 Tsp sesame oil
Your Favorite Stir Fry Sauce
2 Oz. of your favorite Cognac
Preparation: Slice Pork Tenderloin 1/4" thick. Heat oil in Wok or
Stir fry pan until small piece of onion sizzles when
dropped in bottom of pan. Saute the sliced pork
tenderloin quickly until lightly browned on each side.
Add the cognac and carefully flame (flambe') the dish,
after a moment dousing the flame with the Mountain Sunset wine.
Move the pork to edges and add onions, then garlic,
then peppers and finally, after a moment's delay, the
water chestnuts. Stir in the Pork and toss the mixture
with your favorite stir fry sauce (I like Yoshida but
home made is best). Serve with Fried Rice and Dry Sautéed String Beans.
Please email us before trying this recipe if you've
never "flamed" or flambe'ed before. We don't want
any problems in your kitchen.
